I don't know if there is really a difference, except one may be deemed mentally ill. You will be surprised who God decides to become His messenger.

Now ain't this a very interesting question. I guess I am to hung up on what it appears to imply. Thus, no one could respond with reason. I know I can't until I get some clarification or else I would be prone to let the humorous :jump: side of me answer this question. And being that I don't know if you were serious or not, I don't want to risk :tongue3: disrespecting the possible intent behind this question.

i say, show me the difference between religion and mental illness.
if you can not, and i think you can not, then there is NO difference.

religion is the opiate of the masses.

the religious man hears a voice from God.
the schizophrenic hears the voice of God.

how do you determine which one to hospitalize and which one to follow?

:hi: For once...I agree with you. There is definitely no difference between religion and mental illness. I got your back on dat one.:hiya:

Both of them are like the FOOL who hath said in his heart that there is no God at all.

I despise religion but I love relationship. One makes you think you are doing God a favor by representing him while the other makes you realize you are nothing and that
you need Him to re-present you.

    You also said:

the religious man hears a voice from God.
the schizophrenic hears the voice of God.

how do you determine which one to hospitalize and which one to follow?

Joyce: I would not follow neither one of them...I have chosen to follow Jesus.
