any way i can protect my address?
Try to be catious about what email listings and websites you enter your email address at. IF you look at the bottom of most of the spam it may have a link to opt out of the email list. You should also be able to report this spam to your email provider and or cut on a spam blocker of sorts.
Some email providers (Such as Yahoo, Hotmail and Gmail) may actually give your email address out as an agreement for using their service.
Never, never, never use the opt-out in the spam e-mail. That just tells the spammer its a live address. They will stop spamming you but they sell your address to everybody else. Just turn on the spam filter in your email and let it go straight to your junk mail folder where you can delete the whole batch. They sometimes just have computers spit out addresses and sooner or later they hit yours. Ex: [email protected]; [email protected]
Sometimes the opt out works.
True, if it's a legit company. If it's a true spammer, they x you out and sell it to others!
Separate names with a comma.
