Black People : 'Hotep' — Community Action in East New York

There are 2 hands to solving the real ills we see in our major cities , like the Fratricidal Wars in Chicago, and the Bronx each weekend and the economic downslide of the Brooklyn communities of Brownsville and East New York!
It wll take as well as economic support but also;

Cultural revolution, not like Mao, but like Garvey, Clarence Allah and Dr Huey P Newton,
to transform and heal the hearts and minds of the community!

East New York , and the South side of Chicago were a much more peaceful place , before COINTELPRO , infected the national community with a Cultural Virus in the 80s!
It wll also take an antivirus ,
from that virus , to go viral, to bring about real change as well

It will take much more ! the Black Movements of the 60s and 70s all had Black millionaire benefactors...

There are 2 hands to solving the real ills we see in our major cities...

But we had more Black unity in Brooklyn, and Chicago, St Louis and Detroit, as well as LA, in the 60s and 70s long before the internet!

Ndugu, as an obvious supporter of Malcolm, at least by virtue of the avatar you represent below;

the question becomes this, are you moving away from the "Grassroots" movement, and sinking your eggs into the black millionaire basket?

If that's the case, the unity you seek, outside of grassroots, may never materialize...

Jackson Rising: Black Millionaires Won't Lift Us Up, But Cooperation & the Solidarity Economy Might

...In the real world, we now have more black faces in corporate board rooms, more black elected officials and more black millionaires than ever before, alongside record and near-record levels of black child poverty, black incarceration, black unemployment, black land and wealth loss. The fortunes of some of our most admired black multimillionaires, like Junior Bridgeman and Magic Johnson, rest firmly on the continued starvation wages and relentless abuse of workers in his hundreds of fast food and other restaurants.

Jay-Z and the Rest of his Class Belong in the Dustbin of History

Jay-Z says he can buy the block, but the reality is that the existence of Black celebrities and entertainers has done nothing to alleviate the wealth disparity between White America and Black America...

Black Wealth Hardly Exists, Even When You Include NBA, NFL And Rap Stars

By Antonio Moore

#Blackwealthmatters, I have written extensively on the subject on sites from Inequality.org and beyond. Today we stand at a place where African Americans own little if any of America’s land, produce little if any of the country’s resources and possess negligible amounts of this nation’s immense wealth...

The new black millionaires and black philanthropy in the 21st century

...As this generation of black millionaires turns to philanthropy, however, their legacy remains to be seen. In many ways these hip-hop entrepreneurs are no different from their white Generation X dot-com counterparts.
