somewhere ova da rainbow....
Falling down on her knees
As he lift his hands in praise
As the tears run
Black river flow
And a rainbow shows
The past present and future
The fire comes and the pain
Rips through her
And the sorrow covers his heart
A soul on high as his spirit lifts
The darkness of this world
Begins to show light
Trying to survive
Why oh why is this world
The way it is
Praying wishing and yearning
Is it wrong or right
Or is it just because…
All she has been given
Seems to place her in a loop
Trying to maintain
Looking in her son's eyes
Praying for her daughter to strive
Wishing the world would change
As the cold takes hold
Her tears run like a river
And look at the vision in his eye
Living paycheck to paycheck
Hard to pay a bill and buy food
A tear runs from his eyes
Trying to keep a roof over his family
As the rain pours
Hoping that the world will change
Praying that one day
Our people will see the light
As we pull they take away
We can bring each other up
Stop putting each other down
Calling names and begin loving

For we will rise…It may not be easy
But you start with one and pass it along
And the chain reaction can start…and then
Hear the world sing…within unity and peace is made
It may not be easy....but its a system of a start
