    Defined as a wish
    Accompanied by expectation
    Hope for fulfillment
    The want of something
    A desirable situation

    Hope like dreams
    Can quickly fade
    Fleeting and painful
    Disappointing
The breaking of promises that were made

    When hope leaves our hearts
    A gaping hole is left
Inner resilience is put to the test
So easy the option to give up hope
    Giving in to the pain
    Trying to cope

But like a single star alone in the night
    Hope still shines
    Without support or evidence
    Hope
    Just hope
    Instilling confidence

    Another day
    A better day
    Tears will not fall
    From our saddened eyes
    Our day
When what we hope and long for
    Will be finally realized

    I've heard it said

    "where there's life, there's hope"

and I'll add to that, some "love".

    thank you for this today
