Black People : Homosexual Perception & Differences Male/Female

Because Malidome was molested by Jesuits priests you are implying that he would LIE and make false statments regarding what is accepted and not accepted in his culture? do you have proof of this?Have been to Bukino Faso or spoken to anyone from Malidome's ethnic group? So we are back to defining people are we? hmmmm.....

You got it bad with assuming what other peoples perceptions are. Do you know how to ask folks a question without then responding for the person you ask the question to? :em2300: Or are you a know it all who knows other peoples thoughts and feelings as well so you just can't help it, you have to make the response for them...

Geez... what I was implying dear, is that cultures evolve, for whatever reason cultures change and progress or regress.

I've watched sankofa over 10 times dear.. Shango character is a healer and that is what healers do. I guess you have never came across MALE NURSES/TRAUMACOUNSELORS/PAREMEDICS/DOCTORS/HEALERS..et la.. othewise you would not make such sweeping generalization about how MEN are supposed to act towards traumatized individuals.

I am very aware that he is a healer, I too have watched Sankofa several times... and :10500: Perhaps a discussion should be held on what are male and female energies, how do they manifest physically.:10500:

I clearly stated SANS(without earings and corn rows)

You statement sounds very sexist.

Not that it matters but, he wasn't wearing sans either. :10500: and my statements would sound sexist to you because obviously that is how you want them to sound, being that you keep assuming for me, my thoughts. :10500:

I think you should the book again..and perhaps attend some of his lectures, and a little research on the spiritual beliefs of the Dangara people wouldn't hurt.

I see that you have opted to not give me at least a page number where I could go and see what it is about Some's writings that you perceive as tolerance of same gendered folks getting it on. :10500:

Anyways I'm done with this, I can see where this is going.. not in mood for the merry go round today.:em2300:

I would quickly tire as well if most of my time was spent assuming what I felt other people were assuming and assuming what other peoples perceptions are.

Hi workinprocess,
I know biological is one word but can you be more specific. In what sense of sex being biological, do you mean?
As for the rest of your post, I pretty much agree with all that you said and I think the post I made which triggered your post to me is pretty much in agreeance with all that you said, that is with the exception of why same sex, sexual relationships possibly or possibly not being tolerated.:10500:
Not sure what you mean.

Also, I find it really interesting how it is that when specific cultures are used as reference, when talking about possible origins of homosexuality, that it is the gay men, who are referred to who are noted. Not once has anyone spoke on gay women in a historical context. :10500:

W.I.P :whip:

Women have a womb, men dont. Men ejaculate sperm, women don't. I hope I don't need to be more explicit than that. lol.

I would just like to say that for the record, I do not agree that men who are so called feminine acting prefer sex with the same sex and vise versa for the women who are male acting. I would also like to say that I am from the school that who we prefer to screw or who we are attracted to has nothing to do with our gender nor the roles that we play based on our sexual organs and what roles and how society assigns roles based on sexual organs.

To this day, scientist can no locate the so called gay gene, you know why, it's because it doesn't exist. For whatever reason, we choose who we are attracted to, we choose who we sleep with. If you don't believe me, just ask yourself this, would you choose to sleep with someone who is homeless that lives in a cardboard box? You may say that the answer is no but guess what, some people will sleep with a homeless person who sleeps in a cardboard box.

If you are lactose intolerant would you choose to drink milk and eat cheese? you may say the answer is no but guess what, some people who are lactose intolerant will choose to still indulge in dairy products. Now, if Psychologist can apply the science of the mind to conclude why it is that some people make bad choices, that either they have low self esteem or that they have no concept of the choices that they make due to trauma in childhood etc. why is it that they by pass the mind when it comes to homosexuality to go looking for a gay gene?:10500:

For whatever reason weather the reason is warped or well thought out, conscious or subconscious, people choose who they sleep with. Who we sleep with is not something that we are born with and yes, I chose to be straight.:)

btw: for whatever reason, we make choices everyday... maybe the choice we conclude is out of convience or maybe the choices we make is out of curiosity, or maybe the choices we make is out of a need and maybe the choices we make is out of what we feel we need but are not sure till we try... in this case, who knows.:10500:

Thank you, that is what I thought you were saying but I didn't want to assume.:)

How do you apply biology of the male and female anatomy to to who they males with penis's, and women with vagina's, desire to make these sexual acts happen with, that being other objects of the flesh?

Hope that made sense.:)
