People take for granted, the roof over head
the food in they belly, the comforts of a bed
they really don't understand the plight of the homelessness blues
The lengths one must go to just to survive, things one must do
Stealing petty items just to have one meal to eat
Shampoo, deodorant, and cologne just to be clean in the streets
See you can be home deprived, yet you aint always gotta look like you are
looking like you aint got $hit, wont get you very far
Though things are tough, they say Misery loves company
Yet you aint gotta look like you living in misery
The days are getting cold, cheeks red, snot dripping nose
yet one can still raise head because of pride
When memory of the power of the mind, and feelings deep inside
I wished and promised myself not to sing again the homeless man blues
yet times are getting real rough, lots of pain nigg@$ go through
laying down in places not fit for any man
do what you must just to start a new life again
In debt, in doubt, feelings of hopelessness no way out
Always believed that by this time in my life, I'd own a car and a house
but dreams are what they are, just nocturnal imageries
fight to be more, than what I am currently
Singing homeless man blues, Singing homeless man blues
Singing homeless man blues, Singing homeless man blues
Just look for somewhere to lay my head
some place warm, clean and safe, not looking like the living dead
Though my life has been sawn asunder under the stress and strains
even if manic depression has me, wont let it control my brain.
Strength within, and on God I still rely
Pray thee save my soul, so that I can survive another night
No longer getting high off the herbal weeds that just clouds minds thoughts
Gotta find a better way that's all I've sought
'Til the day I really have my own
I'll continue singing homeless man blues till I have my home...

HI Nahshon
Very tight drop.
I am digging the pride that is display in your poem
Even those this is indeed a sad state.
There is no pity shown, or ask for.
Straight up what one have to do when no choice is given.
These lines struck me in deep thought.
In debt, in doubt, feelings of hopelessness no way out
Always believed that by this time in my life, I'd own a car and a house
but dreams are what they are, just nocturnal imageries
fight to be more, than what I am currently
There is a strenght in your poem that we all need right now
So good reading you again.

Peace & Love

thanks for the comments...it's just the truth about my life at the current...writing poetry from the depths of the street...homeless...pennyless...sometimes hungry...jobless...yet always remain strong...til the days that my life is no longer wrong...but right...in all senses of the words Right...
