    Gave his light to you
As a pathway to his realm
    Peace in that valley

    A vision of peace
    Much needed amongst chaos
    A mirage, it's not

Thank you Dior. You've touched my little tinker. Your works of haiku also have a way of bringing deep meditation to me when I am not expecting. I have noticed that you have sometimes stepped outside of the restraints of the 17 syllable rule, moving into the realm of free verse instead of haiku. While those works are good (I have nothing against free verse-love it), I am more in awe when you capture me entirely within the grips of your haikus - using only 17. Yes, I admit...I am a haiku fanatic...I can't help myself... I was once crowned Haiku queen of this board. Since I've been away and come back, I am simply amazed at the quality of work that comes from various poets here in the "Haiku House". That's why I had to lay my crown down. When I read works like yours and those of Watzinaname, I am stunned. Watzinaname's style reminds me much of my own. This poet has a one-two punch effect on my emotions when I read his/her? works. Thus, I can not remain THE queen, but perhaps yall will find it in your hearts to let me sit close by...even at your feet.

Below are some of my favorites from you.

    I get hungary,
I eat all the bread crumbs
    Still dreadfully lost.

    A leaf in the wind
    Floating aimlessly high
    Decisions amuck.

    Oriental feel
Caught in a smooth spider's web
    The start of a love.

    Sweet dark honey comb
Leaves me feeling drunk and gone
    A lovaholic.

Again, I congratulate you on being POET OF THE WEEK!
