    His Hands
    By: Afroprincess

    They were soft but rough
    Gentle and strong
Ignorant, but they knew it all
    They were big and smooth
With long and determined fingers sprouting from a palm
That had my life etched in its creases
    His hands knew me…

From the way they glided up my back
It was as if this path was one traveled a million times over
Something in the way they held my body kind of like fine china
Gentle but with a grip so it doesn’t slip
But when they retraced their path I did more than slip
I fell and instead of hitting the ground his hands caught me

Like the man that stands tall before you
His hands do more than frighten… they love too
With the way they know to hold me when I’m sad
Or keep me just far enough when I’m mad
His hands know their way around my body better than I do
How is it possible for hands that have never touched me
To know all my life I’ve yearned for a touch like that
How is it that a man who’s never loved me like this
Knows all my life I’ve waited for the moment he’d loved like that

His hands seem know my body better than I
Know my desires as if they are his own
Gliding over skin sizzling a path to a place he calls home
Gripping the flesh of my love
Soothing the frustration of my inner turmoil
They know the right pressure to give
That which to make my eyes roll back
My back slip, my breathing harsh and to cause my loving to flow
It’s all there in the creases

How I like to be held
    Ask them
When I need to be held,
I need not to tell him
Because before I can get the thought processed
Those hands as sliding around my waist
    Softly but forcefully
    Gentle and strong
Smarter than I because they know it all
His hands know me from the lines etched in his palms

So eloquently posed, his hands reflect his union with you, that he cherishes and appreciates you. This was absolutely beautiful.

Hey, this is really good. It's visual and real. Something people can relate to and allz. This is a great poem. I read it at like 5 this morning or something, but I never had the chance to comment cuz I was getting late, but hey, I had to stop by no matter what and give you the props you deserve. ~1~ <3 LJ.
