I was looking for a site where black people could discuss important issues without there being trolls and racists that derail the important issues being talked about. I feel there is a TON of discussions needed in the black community, and LESS derailment and distraction that take forms of discussions that don't really have black's people interest. I was reading some of the forums on here. Such wise people on here! I hope I'm on the right track.

Welcome SERiNA, you may have found that place. But before I cast my poll vote, there's a question. By black community, do you mean online or offline?

The ONLINE black community. The current place I live in has a very small to nonexistent black community, so as much as I would like to do for the black community in my area, I could probably do MORE for the online black community.

Thanks, I just cast my vote. Black sites, such as this one, are few and far between, however, even those that aren't Black owned and operated are primarily on a consciousness level unmatched by non-Black sites.

That's a long story of itself that deserve it's own thread! But trust, it wasn't MY decision.
Ones I get an education and myself established in some way, I plan on moving out from this ********, to a place where I can be with my brothers and sisters.

I don't know how other black people live around other non-black folks. I stay in my house 24/7.:(

What, really? Black folks are getting shot and killed for wearing hoodies and eating skittles, but we can't get even express our anger about how we feel because... no "cussing" and "cursing" on a forum of all places.

Why does that sound so familiar?
