i'm sure you already know
that everything i was gonna say
the other poets got in my way
all in my thoughts stealing my rhymes
so i'll just say what comes to mind ...
hey Blak, remember that time
you thought someone was being unkind
came to their aid so they'd not feel the pain
of a poetry drive-by leaving it slain
hey Blak, remember when we lived in the shelter
packed in like sardines, starting to swelter
GQ complaining 'bout the cots were too hard
Alyce w/her O2 tank constantly checking its cord
wow it seems like we've been friends our whole life
hey Blak, are you married, do you have a wife?
you're the kind a brother make a sister want to know
don't mean to be nozey or nuth'n doe ...
