A symbol of Buddhi, reflected upon the astral plane, or as the vehicle of atma.

"Hathor means 'Abode of Horus'. She was the goddess of love and joy. The cow was sacred to her."

"The golden Hathor was goddess of the western sky which received the dying sun in the glow of sunset."--Wiedeman, Rel. of Egyptians, pp. 30, 142.

Buddhi (cow-Hathor) receives the incarnate God (dying sun) in the first division of the Tuat, and parts with Him in the last, when rising victorious to his own plane (atma).

Het-Heru is associated with Sphere 7 of the Tree of Life and represents the part of the Spirit (SAHU) that governs joy and the imagination. She is known as "House of Heru" in the Kamitic tradition and Oshun in the Yoruba. The greeks knew her as Aphrodite and the romans knew her as Venus.

The Het-Heru faculty is intimately connected with that which the Kamau called RA, or life-force, and what is known as Chi to the Chinese, Kundalini to the Hindus, and ngolo to the Kongo people of Central Africa.

In these two Festivals Het-Heru is associated with the zodiacal Virgo as the Divine Mother of the King.

THE SAHU OF THE OSIRIS ANI

Het-Heru, associated with the SAHU, represents a symbol of the causal-body, which is the receptacle, or seat, of the Spirit in the human soul, and which is built up from the potential pattern as a result of the experiences of life in the physical body.

"The texts show that the Egyptians believed that, if the prescribed prayers were said and the appropriate ceremonies were properly performed over the dead body by duly appointed priests, it acquired the power of developing from out of itself an immaterial body called sahu, which was able to ascend to heaven and to dwell with the gods there.
