On the right lives a man who’s confidence is everlasting
He is strong in his mind, a man who takes without asking
He knows no bounds when what he feels is flooding from within
A Christian man, he expects God to understand the saddest sin

A ‘Magic Man,’ as Ann would say, the faint sounds of raw guitar
With eyes that sink into your body like a wish upon a star
Had I never spoke those words, had I never wondered when
Had I never thought to ask to feel love’s sorrow once again

On the left lives a girl who’s falling deep into the pit
Although she dreams for her life, she never dares to commit
She sends warnings of the day unwillingly but quite assured
All the while questioning whether or not she’s being lured

Alone in her room, she blushes, topsy-turvy all the night
He’s running even deeper and her blood is mixed with fright
And of course, like a fool, she keeps thoughts blowing in the wind
As he catches every one, a love unraveled with a grin

A story unfinished, another book begins anew
The fine unveiling of the troubles both are fated to pursue
