    Hey Family,

I am captain of a team for Relay For Life, an overnight event to support the American Cancer Society in their fight against cancer. Please help in our efforts by making a donation.

This year, cancer will strike more than 1.3 million Americans and take more than half a million lives. As friends and family, we can do something to save lives and help those already fighting this disease. That’s why I’m taking action against cancer by supporting the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life® of Washington University.

Relay For Life is an overnight event that will be held March 4th-5th, 2006. This event unites our community in a common effort to support the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem. The Society works every day to prevent cancer and save lives by supporting groundbreaking research, affecting public policies that protect us from cancer, and educating people on how to prevent or detect cancer early. The Society helps people in our community who have cancer through its many patient & family programs and services. Together, we can help the American Cancer Society accelerate the progress toward a cancer-free future.

Below is a link to my webpage where you can make an online donation. There are also directions if you wish to mail in a donation. It would be great if could submit your donation as soon as possible, but we are accepting donations for Relay For Life untill August 2006. Please help us fight cancer by making a donation of any amount ($5, $10, $25 or more) to the American Cancer Society.

The link below will also provide details on the inspirational Survivors’ Lap and the moving Luminaria Ceremony. Please visit the site and make a donation to support our efforts! And know that you will make a real difference in the lives of people facing cancer – and in the lives of the people who love them. Thank you!
