Black Poetry : help me out

Hey sister,

Yeah, we all go through rough times and writer's block, so you're definitely not alone. When I find no words coming to me, I just sit there with a blank notebook in front of me and start putting down whatever pops into mind. Whether it's a word, a sentence, or a paragraph. Whether it connects the thoughts or not. Just anything. Something may eventually take hold and you may start to flow, but if not, you're still doing good cause you're getting some of the thoughts that may be bugging you out of your head and setting them free.

At least it works for me.

well....
writers block is writers block...unfortunately

but my rule of thumb is to "read more than I write"...
(newspapers, magazines, and the poets that have influenced your work the most,
particularly...the greats, for me that would be neruda, millay etc.)

and brainstorming techniques....

take time to meditate and absorb your surroundings.../observation

the more substance that is input / the more inspiration will flow

hope your poetic hiatus ends soon...

i feel u the way i beat the block
is reading others work and replying
as i do i go deep into the scribe and
mentally just flow in it and it just keep going
as ya flow rise back it's not that i never fall
just hard for me to hit da block coz i reply & read so much
this helps me stay on top of the water ...try it !
