It began to pour down rain
Just as I telephoned the court
    To see how our divorce
    Was being processed

    And I ran outside
    Because I couldn’t breath
The fresh air hitting my lungs
Like salt in an open wound

    What you asked for
    Had been accomplished
    It was final
They said that it was through

As I looked up at the sky
I saw the tears from angels fall
    Keeping up with my own
    Breaking open my heart

I never thought it would work
Never thought it would go through
But I left it in God’s hands
He knows what’s best for me and you

    We cried
The angels who favored our love
Those who sat with me night and day
    And the sky, we cried

    And I said
“God, you know better than me
You have a plan for me
I am sure your wisdom is true..."

    God gives us choices…
    So all I can say
Is ‘husband’ if you look up one day
And find me missing from your life

    God gives us choices...
    You can choose to forgive
Or you can choose to forget
And to go your own way

Heartwrenching but Beautiful in all its melancholy.

...a dear friend of mine told me, that for everything there is a time and a season
and everything has a beginning and an ending
unfortunately...knowing "exactly" the experience you write of
that ending isn't always..."til death do us part" in the natural sense
sometimes it comes unexpectedly...in the middle of the journey
    this poem touched me deeply
    and yes...he gives us choices
and before he can work, we must always let go and let him take
    the helm of the ship

This poem...brought tears to my soul and my eyes
because I could see you, standing on those steps
    and the sky...weeping incessantly
but...tomorrow is a new day, the sun will shine again
and we never know what the future holds

If God allows one door to close...
    theres always another opening
My prayers are always with you my sister!
Be strong...morning will come again  :grouphug:
