Harriet Tubman (Black Moses)
Had a foolish student embracing the popular disrespect of Harriet Tubman (who freed over 300 slaves) popularized by Russell Simmons. This student said he would have been upset too if Tubman would have left them behind. Foolish young grasshopper. According to my research: “She {Tubman} would never allow more to join her than she could properly care for, though she often gave others directions by which they succeeded in escaping”.-The Narrative of Harriet Tubman. Cited in book The underground Railroad: dramatic first-hand accounts of Daring escapes to Freedom. by Charles L. Blockson p.105
