Half Truth / Half Lights

The truth isn’t half-lights of glory
Its just one man’s fabled side story
If you never hear from the accused
Then someone is getting abused

Before they set you on fire
They slice the tongue out the mouth
Just in case you say something contrary
So that no one will bring buckets of water

These are the tales of terror
Minis Joseph & McCarthyism
It’s now the Truman show baby
But the innocent are Invisible men underground

A son of Ham insults the Lepers with crimes
You will hear nothing until forgery is made
Until they have a crime around your necks
That’s their idea about balance of power

Then the Invisible man appears on a box
Clothed but now half buck naked
Whipping him from Gothic town to town
Still telling half truths under half lights
