PRESIDENT OBAMA represents the idea wise elders have always stressed; and that is, to excel. To be twice as good. In a second term I am confident that the president will address issues close to home. Close to the reality of African Americans on the whole, given the victory. So get out the vote and express yourself. Peace.

:toast: You just explained how my generation was taught, be twice as good... We touch and agree that Mr. Obama will address issues close to home; but remember what he said in his acceptance speech, something to the effect of: our duty as a citizen doesn't stop with the vote, our job continues by participating, having a voice, being heard on the political landscape.

Some of our main issues should be reforming the prison and justice system, jobs in the inner center urban areas, drugs in our community and Reparations. In addition to the NAACP and the Urban League, other coalitions should be formed into one voice, like the Hispanics have organized... Mr. Obama received 93% of our black vote and only 70% of the Hispanic vote; but they are better organized with a louder voice than ours... smh

    Peace In,
