Yahoo Sports Videos•Aug 11, 2016, 6:11 PM
Yahoo Sports' Shawn Johnson reacts to the American's dominant win on Thursday night for her second gold medal in Rio de Janeiro.
The Final Five will appear on Special K cereal boxes, not Wheaties
... This marks the second straight Summer Games that Kellogg’s has registered a big endorsement win over Wheaties and parent company General Mills. As a sponsor of both USA Gymnastics and the United States Olympic Committee, Kellogg’s was able to secure the past two individual all-around gold medal winners — Biles and teammate Gabby Douglas — for the face of their cereal boxes.
Kellogg’s is also the title sponsor of this fall’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions, which starts on Sept. 15 and features 36 stops ...
Yes! I've been following her for awhile now. That was my sport when I was young. I love to watch gymnastics.
She has a wonderful coach too.
That's what strikes me the most about her story and the other girl that won the last Olympics. They had wonderful coaches that cared about them, cared about their personal life. My coach was just as wonderful, she cared about me, my personal struggle, and still to this day, I think about her. Deep in my heart, I know she cared about me as a person, and at a time that I felt so invisible, she let me know, I was not. She went out of her way to make me feel like 'somebody'. yes, she was a White woman, and she was a humanitarian at heart. So because of these girls stories and how these coaches brought their talent out, is so amazing to me because I know how that feels!-- when someone believes in you.
Simone Biles’ biological mother, Shannon Biles, doesn’t appreciate being characterized as a drug addict by her parents, who adopted Simone.
Her story has been told several times: she had to put her children into foster care after she struggled with her addictions. But Shannon claims to have been sober since 2007, and she doesn’t appreciate being depicted otherwise, especially by her father.
“I feel like he didn’t have to be so harsh about it,” she told TMZ. “He didn’t have to be so harsh about it.
He could’ve been a little bit more classy with it. He didn’t have to put me under the bus.”
She admitted that she had a rift with her father because of the adoption as he cut her out of her children’s lives.
So tell me Chevron are you a little person, cause most gymnasts are?
Simone is only 4' 8" tall.
lol! I'm not quite that small.
But I'm definitely not tall either! Both of my sons are over 6'0 tall, and I'm 5'3'', so I'm definitely short! I would have been a perfect size for a gymnast if I had continued in the sport. And, I loved it so much too.
She's a cutee
Okay then, I got it, thanks. My first wife was shorter, 5'2" while I'm 6'5" so I can relate ... Agreed, you certainly would have been a great gymnast had you pursued it, having the passion you express.
