Somewhere between paradise and diaster
Occupation
Teacher
I see you over there living life too fast too furious
Delving into everything that makes you a little curious
But I'm warning you brother stop living like you're invincible,
And start living your life like you've got some kind of principle
No matter what you think everyone has got a Achilles's heel
Their very own kryponite that will make them have to yeild
Believe it or not brother, we were all made from mere dust
Born to die is not a suggestion for us but it's a true must
Gone with the wind in the mere twinkling of an eye
Shall be the overwhelming fate for both you and I
But your end days depends on how you operate
And if you live by the sword that will be your fate
I ain't advocating betraying the streets that raised you
But I think that you given them more than their just due
At some point in time you have to come out the chaos
And venture into the new phase that we all must cross
Life in the streets made us all feel a sense of immortality
As if we could do anything without any chance of a fatality
But how many more tears must we shed as we bury our kin
This lifestyle is not part of anyone's permanent grand design
And I know that the streets taught us that real men don't retreat
But walking away this time shall be a sign of growth instead of defeat
So come on let's grow together into something more than these streets
