    All of the above

Also sleep in a satin bonnet or use satin sheets on your bed. as cotton will tear your hair out.

If you live in a cold climate give your hair a chance to thaw out before you comb it when you come inside as frozen oils in the hair shaft make it brittle.

Remember our hair may look tough but it's curly pattern and porous texture make it very fragile so be gentle.

Don't comb your hair from the roots and yank the comb through.

Use a brush with natural boar bristles.

Avoid shampoos made for white women that contain balsom and other ingredients that strip the oil from our hair.

If we avoid the things that break our hair off we will find that it grows just like everyone else's.
