I was taught if you really love something then let it go and see if it comes back
If it doesn’t then it was never love just an emotional fling and that’s that Based on reality we all know it’s easier said then done
Because letting go of something I love isn’t easy to overcome
Is it me or for men does it go from a perfect relationship to I hate the *****
From boo-loving your lady to the verbal abuse and I can’t take that ****
From personal experience my heart found love but love can’t find it
People like to talk down to you like they piss holy water, like they **** out diamonds
In the end nobody’s wrong, you see pride is a two way street
And it can cripple the young and old with one fatal flaw that resides in we
I was taught that if you want something done then you have to do it yourself
But sometimes more than not I humble myself to the need for help
Maybe it fall’s on I the reason that my luck is always this bad
Like how I fell in love so fast just to watch my feelings slashed
Maybe it all falls on I the reason I never show the feelings I need to display
Cause I’ve been there before and I’m used to nothing going my way
In the end it always seems all I have is my son, luckily I’ve found god
But my love life is painfully repetitive mind you I was born on the day of the groundhog

You know, when you really think about it, everything occurs in cycles. If we learn from the past this is all well and good, if we don't we keep on making the same mistake. I think this was a gem poet.
