grandmother eyes
that's what I want
eyes that see behind
the smiles...
eyes that pierce and
warm the heart

my grandmother's eyes
have known
4+ generations of
seeing
her family through

sowing tears in the night season
....reaping joy in the morning

eyes that observed
every role in every story
privy to private deeds
and witnessed love in all
its glory

eyes that see the future
keeping record of the past
eyes that know from the WORD
only what we do for Christ will last

Lord, long life is not my
desire...this world is not my goal
You alone know my needs
and what it takes to save my soul

But, bless me with wisdom
as I reach the fullness of my time
anoint me with Your eyesalve
give me sight where I am blind...

Wow...

This is one of those poems that you read...and say a silent prayer that someday your grandchildren will also have the privilege to read

Indeed..."Gradmother's Eyes"...is a generational piece...so much wisdom in your pc....clearly too much for a ballpoint pen...your words need the benefit of a bits and bytes

Loving this one indeed!!
