    A spin-off of a spin-off
    Good Times was originally
    supposed to be
    not even the intro for
    the theme song
<<just looking out of the window....watchin' the asphalt grow>>
    held no illuminata in
    the heart for me...
    just a mirrored image from
    that of the old sitcom
    "All In The Family"
    but instead
    with the subjects
    being Black like
    you and me
    a unit, a household
    of 4 (treasure chest family)
    then it became
    degrading
    derrogatory and
    ignorant~
    a living purgatory
    Unbelievable
    are the
    issues and topics
    that
    amerikkka came
    to believe
    when in reality
    Jewish writers
    wrote the
    initial scenes
    describing
    characters
    portrayed for us
    to see...
    CONTROVERSY
    a white-man's
    perspective
    of African American
    illegitimacy
    or was it
    envy
    creeping around
    the sitcoms
    that
    blarred
    in 'color' or was it
    Colored only-- right
    on our own
    t.v.'s
    not to mention
    James Amos' firing--
    your right Shaz,
    he was killed off
    of the episode
    because he stood
    up against
    the deplorable
    direction of
    the show...
    led to believe
    the image of
    the next episode
    would reflect a more
    positive light
    --enlightend, he was
    when they
    turned of his lights~
    and so the show
    went on...2, 4, 6 more
    years
    instituting more
    'black on black' crimes
    disrespect of woman
    in their vision
    of projecting
    happier times

    ...but
    let's not
    forget the 'We'man
    of the screen
    each of them I hold
    with the highest
    regard
    Q
    U
    E
    E
    N
    S
    in their own right
    for baring
    the chards of
    petrified wood
    of disabling
    white men
    who again...
    seek to destroy
    the family from
    within
    ma Florida
    continued to hold the
    entire family together
    Willona, the direct and
    assertive-ly plain neighbor
    don't forget our beloved
    sista
    Thelma who was busy
    telling
    JJ like it T.I. is...
    and how it should
    be
    ...reasons why
    it's got them
    all asking
    "why were we"
    and us asking
    "where are they"...now?

    PLAYED
    and exploited
    used by whites
    disenfranchized
    by stardom
    to early in life

    Back in the day
    I guess it was
    the only way
    to see
    Black folks improving
    and moving
    onto
    the
    Television Screen....
    from bad times
    gone Good...are we
    really any farther along?
