Checking his tuxedo in the mirror, as his brother teases him about it being his 5th time since he last checked, Lamont nervously fumbles for the ring. His brother Mark holds it up and reminds him that he gave it to him an hour ago. After all the best man is the one who keeps the ring. Walking out to the altar with the Reverend and Mark, Lamont can hardly believe this day was finally here. After one and a half years of giving love a chance, he was glad that he followed his heart. Although it would be normal to wonder how the other choice would have turned out, he had no doubt in his mind that this was the right one. As the music began to play and the bridesmaids starting marching in along with the groomsmen he began to reflect back and smile. Only a year and a half ago he was tortured by the question of which woman he actually loved. Shawn who had been the love of his life for so many years and Angie the woman who came into his life and transformed it. It was a hard decision and especially hard when he told the other one of his choice once and for all. Telling her that he would value their friendship, but he had to follow his heart and follow his heart he did.

The past year and a half had been a whirlwind of getting to know the woman that he had known since childhood, but knowing her in the light of love was something beyond compare. How could he have ever allowed himself to be in a quandary over this he wondered? The choice now seemed so obvious, and this was the result of that choice. He was finally marrying the woman he loved. The other one understood in fact she already knew who his choice was. She appreciated him for all that they had been, and promised to remain not only his but both of their friends. After all they grew up together. She knew that if she could not have his heart at least she could have his love as a friend. Lamont had inspired her to take her gift to another level and be what she was destined to be.

Hearing the music shift to a slower pace after the flower girl made her entrance, Lamont knew his bride was approaching. Seeing that flowing white gown, knowing that his queen would untie with him forever made his heart skip. He looked at Shawn, she looked beautiful, a changed outlook on life, no longer worried about relationships, for she had found her purpose. He bowed his head smiling, knowing that this was the woman he had pursued for so long and he never dreamed this would be happening. Watching his bride come closer as her father escorted her, he heard the Reverend say, “Who gives this bride away?” The father says, “I do” and gives her hand to Lamont. Lamont takes her hand and looks into her eyes and tells her softly, “I love you.” The Reverend asks Lamont, “ Do you take this bride to be your lawfully wedded wife to have and to hold from this day forward until death shall separate you?” Lamont responds, “ I do”. The Reverend looks at the bride whose eyes are full of tears, and he says “Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband to have and to hold from this day forward until death shall separate you?” she responds, “I do”. After a song and a prayer the Reverend looks at the couple and says, “By the power invested in me I now pronounce you husband and wife, Lamont you may now salute your bride”. The couple kiss, which seems to last forever instantly reviews the past few years in their mind, and when they finally break, Shawn eyes are filled with tears of joy as well as Lamont, as he and Angie walks down the aisle to begin their life together.

Many thanks....But This is how the situation played out in real life. So I can't be responsible for how it ended up. Just to let you all know...Angie and Lamont are doing fine...Been in that thing called marriage for 5 + years...

And Shawn has found her a new soul and they have been married for 2...So I guess it all worked out for the best.
