when you were devestated by love
    i resurrected your soul
restored your faith in us men
I gave you my hand to hold

i picked you up from the grave
and showed you things you hadn't learned
    I didn't ask for a favor
give me a chance in return

let me be the one to show
not all men are the same
I know you've been hurt in the past
I can love you past your pain

Instead you chase these pie-faced Nigroes
    only out for some A*s
you want to let me go 'cause I'm too slow
    Nawl mama...you too fast

    every action has a reaction
    you get what you do
now you're mullet in the face
    looking stupid and used

them Ni*gas trampled on your heart
    left you feeling abused
you want to get back with me now?
girl i hate it for you

don't come running to my doorstep
love don't live here no more
I'll give the world to a real woman
    but nothing to a whore
    I don't mean no disrespect
but ma a spade is a spade

    game recognizes game
    baby you got played

I appreciated the respsones Tantrum and Patrice.

    Patrice,

No offense taken!. I appreciate your perspective. I understand totally what you're saying and I'm all about nurturing a woman, love and relationship. But there comes a time when a person needs to stop blaming everyone else for there problems, heart aches, etc and take responsibility for thier actions. 1st time it happens was shame on the other person for treating you wrong, if you keep putting yourself in that position, then it's shame on you.

This poem was written from the perspective of a man that values what he has to offer. In no way am I saying that I ran game, but rather I refuse to settle for leftovers. I have too much to offer, I tried to offer it, you didn't want it, now it's too late to come back and get it.

    Hope this clearify's things

ok NItty grit your piece and your experience

    there is truth about reponsibility

it is hard to know when we make people deaf

and it is hard to understand it when we do not know it is happening

    your piece is excellent

and i will leave it at that

    Peace

    Patrice
