on reservations we live
demarcated by the boundaries
where the echos of
tears falling in empty stomachs
are no longer heard and shadows
are only visible under an
interrogative lamp

"and why do you exist?"

shadows only answer from
an upright position
the disposition of bodies
are prone on the ground
silent

leaving shadows with a voiceless
response

we live on reservations called the
ghetto out
lined with boarded up homes, breathing
crack pipes and broken down
dreams that sit on blocks stripped
in three minutes by reality

the ceiling of the ghetto is made of
granite with glass sunroofs
that tease the "ghettoites" /
"condem"sation opaques the
ports filtering sunlight so only
the heat passes
and it's getting hot in here

bodies pass out and fall
at the base of the wall
of the ghetto

and the last thing
seen is the other side of the
ghettographic lines

where there is a house on the
corner for sale
