The Indian Americans have casinos now I hear, they are happy. The Navaho still exists, they are happy. By your argument the blacks are the foreign invaders, go back to Africa and take back your country then.

Afrikans did not 'invade' the Americas. We we largely kidnapped and brought here by force.

Some Akfrikans lived here before the slave trade. We were/are part of the indigenous populations. Akrikans had trading relations with the Americas before the europeon set foot in the western hemisphere.

As far as this topic is concerned,it seems as if the point being made to you is clean up your back yard, them ask us questions later.

I'm still kind of new and I'm trying to get the hang of Destee but anyway:hi:. I've met some Native Americans and all of them are not happy. Some say that since the government has given them casinos that now their people have addictions that they never had before. I've heard them say that the purpose of the benefits that the government gave them is to keep them addicted and confined. I'm confused on Richards tone and conversation changed out of mid air, I think it's kind of suspect.

True, I was just making a point that if he cares for indigenous people he should go back to Africa and take back his country.

The point is made. The world is my backyard first, then Australia.

Welcome to Destee

Quite a lot of Navajo Indians live on reserves and continue their traditional lifestyles and as tribal people they are very happy that they can do this. Giving them casinos has given them high incomes. There is always some sort of negativity attached when western influence is involved, agreed, and that's why the traditional Navajo stay traditional.

I understand the point you are making, and it seems this is the crux of the disagreement.

How can you change the world if your own home and back yard are dirty?

For example, my African heritage is more distant than my Muskoga native Tamerit heritage, but by most appearances I am a Black Man.

My friends from Afrika have told me that, even though in the future I intend to return home, most likely Ghana or South Africa, I am needed here, to struggle for the rights of Afrikans in the 'belly of the beast'.

I learned this fighting against apartheid from my friends from Azania (South Africa). I remember that in Australia there was a ground, the Campaign Against Racial Exploitation (CARE), active in the 80s.

Have things changed that much for the better in Australia that the concerns for global weather change supersede the struggle for human rights and social justice in Australia?

As far as weather modifications are concerned, perhaps there is a government program working behind the scenes but it dies not make sense for the American government to unleash such a program on its own citizens which FEMA does not have the resources to provide relief. The government debt and deficit are already too high to afford such a costly program. What does it have to gain?

What we are seeing and experiencing are natural occurrences as result of our solar system moving closer to the galactic center, which occurs ever 26,000 years, with a resultant shift in the polar axes.

I put weather modification before human rights and social justice for the time being. Weather modification can effect climate which would be destroying our planet. Hurricane Sandy was 1000 miles wide. I just want it researched and I want global awareness on weather modification through media and then I would stay out of other countries affairs. If Australia has weather modification and chooses to hide it, in this situation they will get burned also. I agree that Australia has problems, as everywhere and after this I will direct my attention to a national issue.

People have been trying to control the weather for thousands of years. Weather as a weapon can be very advantageous. You can use it and nobody would know who is responsible. As weapons go, countries try to make them bigger and better. It is shown that countries like to test the effectiveness and power of their weapons and so why wouldn't they test weather modification? In 1976 Geneva had a convention on Environmental Modification Techniques. This convention banned the "use", not the "research". This was just after the United States government launched Operation Popeye.

Operation Popeye : Wikipedia

This cloud seeing operation ran for five years, resulting in targeted areas seeing an extension of the monsoon period an average of 30 to 45 days. The continuous rainfall slowed down the truck traffic and it was considered relatively successful. This military operation was conducted forty years ago and the calculator on my desk is faster than the computers that existed back then.

That is a monsoon.

What can they do with weather modification now?

Even small changes in the abundance or location of clouds could change the climate more than the anticipated changes caused by greenhouse gases, human-produced aerosols, or other factors associated with global change.“ - NASA

By the way I forgot to mention, how could I forget. I'm half Italian. My grandmother and grandfather left Italy to Australia because of world war 2. Nice of Australia to take them, Don't you think?
