    freedom
    wat is it
    wat does it mean......
    they faught too hard...
    but...
    and...
we're still lacking wat we need
    missing... loosing...
    out on wat WE deserve
    wat we have earned....
    i mean yeah its tru-
    we have risen
from the sad long dayz of ur past
    our past
    his story
    but how much
    how much have we....
    and will our rise continue....
    will it last....
    will it....
    yes.. times have changed...
    but have We....
things have changed from when our civil rights
    were visably violated
    to NOW
    where it still happens...
but behind the closed doors of our eyez
    "legally"
cuz i guess the want to stop it
    hasnt became a necesity
    yet...
we got people doing wat they please
and not to those in need
    all of this for fame
    money
    and greed
    all "legally"
    "legally"
    so r we free yet?
    or is it worse
NOW cuz we can be chopped
diced and our thots sliced into thin nothings but past moments
    going unmissed
    unseen
    unoticed
    all cuz it can happen
    does happen
    and will
    "legally"
    NOW
    r we free....
    yet?

I was shaking my head with this. Some freedoms are being taken away now it seems. This speaks of truth, and I liked the way you displayed this.

I find you questions to be quite rhetorical! You posed the questions knowing we knew the answer was in fact NO. Such a poem prompts our minds to look at the mental and physical slavery the "WE" had to endure. Nice drop! Peaces
