There wasn't enough time to stop them...
There couldn't be enough ways to move around them...
The weight of the world pressed against my eyelids and
made my nose burn with so much emotion.
I pressured thoughts of other thing in and
through my mind in an attempt to...keep them
in.
To keep my mind off of the hurt, the pain...
But to no avail....

Within minutes, the tears fell...
and they continued to pour down my face.
Ridges and ravines were carved in that place.
My eyes were bleaker than an impending storm,
and my lips were a thin line of repressed fear, anger,
love and loss.
This black rain fell and I hunkered by the window paine
tracing the journey each rain-drop made.

Last night I cried.
I shed so many tears and emptied my soul
of all of its impurities.
I removed the poisons of this world...
and gained some measure of restoration,
no, some measure of completeness and peace.

I...feel...free
