this is a poem from my book " From Bummin 2 a Buspass"
its also going to be in my 2nd book
Modern day Slave " Da Takeover

    what do you think

    Free

A lot of people talked down on me
    I told peeps I’m a drop a poetry book
Many people said I was weak
I tell em when you open up your heart
    Your mind and soul
    You can finally see
I see a different future than most
    Some people got small dreams
I got dreams that generations can attend to
    It’s not all about me
    The spoke
I’m talking bout the spoken word
If we have no mouth how can we speak
If you have no brain, how can we think
Man perish for his lack of vision
A man with no direction will wreck
Knowledge was withheld from my people
A person shed tears and lives to have what we take for granted
Big mama scrubbed floors and clean toilets
    We forgot that
When America’s sport spit on Jackie Robinson
Cheated Sammy Sosa by walking him
It won’t stop till we unite
    We may die trying
But if my son can sit in the corporate office, it’s worth it
    Politicians are gangstas
    Gotta peep game
    I’m free
Man’s laws or borders do not confine me
    I’m just a soldier
A man that was called boy for years
Burned my art when I was young
African expression is ruled as uncivilized
My people are looked at as animals
    Not human beings
    I’m free
    I only speak the truth
