What the hell is that smell?
Smells so bad I can taste it.
    I'm trying to erase it
    From my memory banks.
    Smells like septic tanks
    At high noon.
    Smells like the moon
If it's really made out of cheese.
    Cut off my nose,
    I'm begging you...PLEASE!
Then I realize it's my eyes that are picking up the stench.
    I see ballers playing ball
And drug dealers on the bench.
    I see kids carrying hardware
Looking to put someone in a treanch!
    I see churches empty
    And lives being spent.
    Something is wrong,
Like reality has this big *** dent.
Where our women are being raped.
And our brothers are being sent
    To sit in stone cells.
Our children are living in hell.
    They pick up the paper,
    Another black man in jail.
    Politicians blowing hot air
Like they about to set sail.
But we're the ones being shipped out.
    Shipped out of classrooms
    -An education
    -A job
    -A way of life!
Now we're traveling the road less traveled
Becaue we make up about 13% of this nation's population.
They're starting to make bogus *** statements.
Soon we're going to be looking at segregation!
This is an address to the Black Nation.
    Wake up!
    Shape up!
Start to shake up your routine!
    Stop talking about it
    Start living your dream.
    Brothers,
We need to stand and deliver,
    Make our enemys quiver
`Cause the sight of us is strenght.
    Sisters,
You're the potpouri that's going to get rid of this stench
But first you got to stop worrying about the kinks of your hair
And worry about those in your mind.
    Once they're gone
Our Black Nation will be divine.
It was blessed by God before time had time to be time.
    No understand,
Our true power is in our mind and soul.
It's time to grasp our power and take hold.
    It's God's master plan,
    It's our destiny.
    To form a new world
    -A new reality.
    `Cause it's plain to see
That we can build a world
    Where everyone can co-exist peacefully.
Then life can have a beautiful fragrance!
