Our marriage vows didn't include "obey" your spouse.
My brother in law(RIP BIL) preacher man, married us and he probably knew better.

Both of us have been married before, and we talked about everything.
Thankfully, we don't have any of the problems you mentioned.
I will say, for the most part we do respect gender roles. I've never taken out the trash or washed my car. He's never done the laundry.
He does cook his special dishes; chili and fried fish. I won't fry fish. I'll bake it.
I'm thankful for my spouse a a good marriage.
My first marriage was scary awful.

I am so happy for you and your husband and Family.

So many of us do not get to share such wonderful stories of marriage, love, family, etc.

It is beautiful that you share yours with us, so we can know that it is real and does happen ... :tv1:

Even if we have not seen it in our neighborhood, we can login here and know it goes on somewhere.

That is very encouraging.

To the young Sisters looking for husbands - and the young Brothers looking for wives.

Know that it can be right and good and wonderful ... if you choose the right person! ...

Thank you Sister for sharing ... please continue to keep the hope alive for all of us.

Much Much Love and Peace!

(i decided not to post it because it was a bit off-topic - too much of a stretch for this thread - i think)

Love You!

When you become "one" with a person you do forsake all others to complete that process. A man leaving his mother, a woman leaving her home. The two cleaving onto each other is how it's suppose to be done.
