How do you feel about forcing your kid to go to church or believe in some type of religion...?How would you go about it if that child no longer wanted to be a part of that religion or any at all when they become 18 or 21...well old enough to make that decision. How do you feel about parents doin that?

    Like for an example
Instead of a teen going out wth her friends to a skating rink or a lil house party..like they wanted to.They have to go to church!
Instead of going to the movies,They have to go to church...
Would you take your child away from his or her social life because of what you want them to believe in?or let them have seperate lives?

I had friends a long time ago,Who had parents that are that way and I never really understood them. They gave their children a chance to react in a bad way[sneaking out etc] because of not being able to have that social life that they wanted.

My mother never forced me I wanted to.
I went to every church you'd want to think of.
They never did much for our youth or elders but scream from the pulpit and collect offering while engaging in intercourse with church members.
The organ player was a drug dealer and choir leaders were gay.
    It was just a mess!
Everyone wants to believe their church is better than the next.
I also went to faith baptist(predominately white church) boring and they sang from hymn books, way too rehearsed for me.
My daugter goes with my aunt from time to time.
    I don't make her.
She loves the music and I do as well.
My aunt goes to church alot!
My only concern is my aunt's lifetstyle does not reflect her constnat dedication to the church.
I dont want my daughter to be confused.

I feel that God does not force us to accept/believe/serve Him... who are we to try and force anybody else? If you want someone to believe in the God you serve? Allow them to see how He's made a difference in "who" you are...

i feel its wrong to force your religion on your child....if the child doesnt want to participate in religion but wants a relationship with the Creator in however way they choose, then let them find their own path. dont force your beliefs on them just because you are their parent. that is cruel.

Pretty soon it will the same concerning school, work and such. If they don't wanna go, you can't make them.
