My heart I forbade to love.
For to love is to welcome pain.
    depth of depth drowns.
rise of the tide erodes self.
desire of desire leads to fulfillment’s lack
wind blown emotions beat the heart’s coast
    scraping, raping the terrain
    of vegetative life
for love, so many loves lost
    have rooted remains growing
    growing into forests of memorials
to love’s lost and lost love
so heart becomes one with pain
even in the soliloquy of true love gained.

to love is to welcome pain
but to resist is to never gain
    that joy beyond all others
    that exists between two lovers...
