This is one of the 1st real poems I wrote....I thought I'd share it here....enjoy

Before you, I am rough like sandpaper,

Making sundry statements to hide obvious discomfort,

For you are, and I, sadly, am only me,

Smiling timid grins, I long to touch the fantastic landscape that is yours,

    Yet callowness cripples my approach,

For you are exotic, vast and beautiful. Woman.

    I, sadly, am naïve,

The newness of your taste and touch,

    Intoxicates me like aphrodisiacs,

    Your eyes abate my senses,

Sending me spiraling into the night,

For I want to do with you what the wind does to the trees
