big sexy black
heart-stoppin
smooth-singin
rhythm-slingin

love-bringin

jazz man

i was
just one in a
crowd of
adoring lady
fans

but

i owned
your croons
and became
your tunes

smoke in
my eyes
as i reached
new
highs

your music
brought
rainbows
to my skies

big hands
long fingers
held open
spread
wide

no place
untouched
nowhere
to hide

no shame
no guilt
when we
were through

in the press
of the crowd

it was
me
& you
