Black Poetry : For my light skin sistas

yeah I felt this from the start
and got caught in the love felt
because
it's so sad to say
I learned racist
from my own peolpe
first

i like the feel here
the love wrap
we are all brothers and sisters
from the same tree
we just bloom in different shades
embracing the love:heart:
once again loving the flow
Peace

mad ...who chose what color that they would be?...knowing that being light skin is not the fault of the woman ...she still is your sister...if dumb *** whites like to put light skinned people on a stage then they are our weapon ..to use on the man then...so stop the maddness about this ...its self hate brotha...love that which is u ....that light skin woman is still black dawg so she needs to treated as queenly as the darkest of our queens :bully: hookup..

notin but love for u mad ...your true to yourself if anything .

i thought this poem was very well thought and as a dark skinned girl i remember sometimes growing up wanting to be light skinned...my best friend was mized and i always wanted her skin and hair...i even had a white lady tell me i was so pretty to be dark...and i always get complimented on my complexion like i'm not supposed to be beautiful because i'm black...i just wish the whole light skinned darkskinned thing could be resolved once and for all...
