Love this piece! I am so glad that you had the creativity and knowledge to put into poetic thought the things that have so bothered me for years. I hate the nicknames given to light skinned sistas. I never liked them and I never will. Thanks for putting this piece down the way you did.

I Feel you but lets face it some of the red bones bought that upon themselves (the red bone has always been considered the most beautiful in the black race but the brown and black sisters just with in the last twenty years have been considered beautiful) at one time the high yellow girls got jobs quicker because they could pass as white so they took advantage of this (hey kid their are some yellow chicks told brothers they were too black for them, yo they would only date a red man so man don't make this high yellow thing seem so innocent

man u scare me ....how u think ...how its it they fault they yellow.....i wrote that for all of us to see that the fact we come in so many colors is a good thing ...i love black woman of all colors....why go white ..when if u like light skin u have it in your own race...i wrote this for some light skin people who feel less black cause of what they see in the mirror..they are black as u and me...my grandma was light skin ..and noone could question her blackness..cause she was the real deal....my family has the blackest black ..and the lightest light skin it it so i cant hold the color thang in my heart ...cause my grandma as light ..granddaddy was dark...and all the kids fall in the middle somewear...when we all go before any white goverment u bet your asss they dont care if we light skin balck or dark..u still black. ..hookup

That was so beautifully put. I appreciate it as a light skinned female. There are so many misconceptions/misunderstandings about us. Some of our own sister's hate us and treat us like we havent been through the same. The media has caused us to seperate..its crazy..thanks once again brother. Lets all be sisters, my sisters
