    when the joyful leaf
    did wither away
and the breeze that stirred it
    stopped blowing

will you miss the joy it gave

    when the ocean's sunset
    is no longer seen
    by lovers
    beach walkers
    and pleasure queens

who will convey the things unseen

for all the smiles i didn't share
    ...times when my eyes said
    i didn't care
    no joy of heart
    did i give to you
    nor moments when you felt
    my love was true

you taught me to know you
    to trust and respect you

you taught me to want you
    to kiss and caress you

you taught me to appreciate you

for all the grief you could have given
    ...but didn't

    i love you.

when the things you've taught me to appreciate
    begins to fade
as if i've come too late
    and goodness and love
    that grace us each day
    is taken away

who will convey the things meant?

    when a rich, colorful sky
    lends its peace to me
    as morning's sunrise
    cease to be

will you hear the beat of my heart singing

    ...i love you

    Baller,

This piece is very touching. For some reason this line stands out the most to me,

"for all the grief you could have given
    ...but didn't

    i love you"

I enjoyed the read. Thank you. :)
