I've walked myself thru time to find myself,
    to find myself through time.
    Upon a mighty peoples shoulders,
    standing tall was I.
I searched the thoughts of prisoners of war,
and those now in their graves...
I examined the strength, the will and courage
    of those mislabled as slaves.

I scorched the earth through timeless time,
with my pen now poised like a trigger,
to understand how Gods and kings
    could now call themselves nihgger.
The science and politics that run the world,
    down to every religion...
are things that never could exist
    without our peoples decision.

    I searched thru anatomy, astrology,
    architecture and medicine too,
just to gaze within and find a face
that looked like me and you.
I sat at the feet of the ancients
    and elders in Timbuctu,
to watch as they did cateract surgery
    before fourteen ninty two.

I talked with the warriors and mighty Queens,
who revealed me to me and things never seen.
Now everyone's on some New Millennium flow,
but those who study started theirs over 36 years ago.
And now as I stand before you,
    watching confusion in display...
reformatted thoughts and others in disarray.
I'll tone my words and keep myself in check,
but who said that truth was politically correct?

Yeah, we'll sit in awe of our ancients never seen,
but their wisdom and light still exist in our genes.
No one taught you the key as to where to begin,
the science of our ancestors to tap within.
For the science of sexology, color, diet and sound,
melanin and meditation will root you the ground.

Yeah some call me teach and another preach,
when in reality I was simply trynna reach....
the top of the pyramid, new horizons in the sky.
the true divine consciousness within my third eye.
The true divine consciousness with in my third eye.

All we are looking for we already have within, we often need to be reminded to simply look within our beautiful Black selves. I am so glad I read this, it makes your spirit say, Yes.
