FOOTPRINTS OF MY MOTHERS

On a clear summers night
As I paved the hard cold concrete streets
The luminescence moon reflected a powdery foot print beneath my feet
There lies many prints.... that leads me to the sea

She rested on the nape of the tallest mystical tree
A glow I will never forget as she removed the veils from me
She showed me the paths my Mothers once took so I may peer inside
Ultra violet lights spew out the sockets that held my eyes

I followed those prints through the garden of leafy greens
I stopped dead in my tracks at the roaring edge of the sea
I cast my eyes upon the moons beauty as she begin to speak
she told me the stories of my Mothers whom came long before me
The starz popped out at me, as if an armstretch from my reach
In unison they echoed in a hush, a song so bittersweet
They said my beautiful child, we know the road is long
we watched you from afar, we sheltered you from the storms

Then one by one they begin to chime the purpose of their names,

"I am the Mother of strength! I stood you up when you fell.
"I am the Mother of pain! I taught you how to feel."
"I am the Mother of joy! I casted the smile in your heart."
"I am the Mother of stealth! I lead you through the dark"
"I am the great warrior Mother! Vengence shalt be mine."
"I am the Mother of nurture! I held you in my arms."
"I am the Mother of Knowledge! I taught you what you needed to know."
"I am the Mother of wisdom! With knowledge I watched you grow."
"I am the Mother of peace! In me you found santuary".
"I am the Mother of hate! my fire won't be buried"
"I am the Mother of love. I blossomed in your mind."

One by one the great mother presented all their claims
until my heart fell heavy and my tears began to stream.
My spirit lifted up as my flesh nestled with Mother earth
There I lie in the fetal position as my tears rippled onto her bosom.
The sea rolled up gently to kiss me upon my lips devotion
and swallowed up my salted tears then carry them out to the ocean.
A cool breeze caressed me as I embraced its welcomed touch.
The firey father sun came up to awaken me from its clutch.

He said now carry on my child, your journey isn't quite up!
You must create your footprints. You must leave your sacred mark
for your childrens children who walk upon the different paths on earth
can find their way back home to me through all the pain and hurt.

If ever I shalt feel lost again I'll think about the others.
I'll walk amongst the footprints of my irreplaceable Great Mothers. :flowers:

The whole concept of this piece was so endearing and warm. And then when I got to these lines:
"He said now carry on my child, your journey isn't quite up!
You must create your footprints. You must leave your secrete mark
for your childrens children who walk upon the different paths on earth
can find their way back home to me through all the pain and hurt."
I had to pause, because it was at that point, that you brought everything together, that you had to keep that cycle going, for it to remain endless. Wonderful...
