Starting Friday, Joyce Lewis and her family will lose $44 from their monthly food[IMG] stamp benefits.

The food stamps buy a lot of economical rice-based meals for the family -- four adults and a grandson who live with Lewis in Spring Hill, Fla.
Occasionally, when her grocery store is running a deal, Lewis indulges the family with spare ribs or chicken.
The benefit -- totaling $800 for four adults -- never lasts Lewis and her family a full month.
"When I get to the end, we always run out. I try to go to all the food pantries," Lewis said.
Food stamp benefits[IMG] will be trimmed by $5 billion starting Friday, when a temporary bump-up enacted during the recession expires. Millions of families will be affected.
Lewis, 55, is worried because the cuts are coming at a bad time. Among other things, a second grandchild is due in January.
She is also fighting the bank from foreclosing on her home[IMG].
And even though she doesn't smoke, Lewis suffers from emphysema, which prevents her from working.
Lewis attributes the emphysema to a lifetime of bartending in smoke-filled nonprofit social clubs, such as Elks and Moose lodges.
Her adult daughters who live with her aren't in a position to work -- one is a new mom, and another is due to give birth soon.
The low point came this summer, when she didn't have enough to pay the full electricity bill. Lewis needs power to run her breathing machine to treat her illness. So she pawned her wedding ring for $325.
A few weeks ago, she started getting disability payments for her disease. She promptly used it to get back her ring for $487 before it was sold.
"That was $162 I paid in interest to keep the lights on and put food on the table," Lewis said.
Enrollment in food stamps, formally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, has soared.
Some 47.6 million people, or nearly 15 percent of the population, get them, according to September federal data. That compares to 26.3 million, or 8.7 percent of the population, in 2007. The average benefit per person is $133.19 a month.
For families who rely on food stamps, it means a lot of planning and tough choices.
Hugh Sewell, 54, has been on food stamps for two years. He gets the maximum allowed for his family of three -- $526 a month. The benefits will likely be cut by $29 to $497, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
That would be tough, Sewell says. The first time the family got food stamps, after he lost his job in 2010, they blew through the allotment halfway through the month.
After that, the Sewells started making detailed budgets, meal plans and shopping lists.
"We buy a lot of beans, rice and potatoes," said Sewell, who lives in Philadelphia. "Towards the end of the month, you're eating all the box stuff, and a lot more pasta with sauce."
Last month, Sewell landed a job as an audio technician.
The job paid $12 an hour, a lot less than the $25 he used to make before he was laid off.
Sewell asked his employer to lower his wages to $9 an hour instead.
Why? He did the math and found that $12 an hour was just enough to cause a reduction in his government benefits, and could cost him and his family its Medicaid coverage for health care.

Obama agreed to all of this, but the catch is he was the one holding up the levee, of the GOP Katrina, to get rid of it altogether! or cut it even more!

When Obama leaves office the national Black community in all 50 states, PR and Virgin Islands, and Gaum

    will face ;
    1 Public School closings
    2 Public Housing /privatized
    3 Civil Service Jobs Privatized
    4 an end to HUD
5 Daycare and Job core cut
    6 City hospital shut downs
    7 City college shut downs

 SNAP covers mostly poor kids, a large portion of which are black, and their families ...

Millions of Americans face food stamp cuts

Washington (AFP) - The US Congress on Friday allowed an estimated $5 billion cut to a federal food stamps program to take effect, slashing the social safety net for the poor, elderly and disabled.
Almost 48 million, or one in seven, Americans have had food subsidies cut 13.6 percent after a 2009 recession-fighting measure expired Thursday with no congressional action to extend it.
The cuts come as the world's largest economy has still only achieved a tepid recovery from severe recession, marred by persistently high unemployment and budget gridlock in Washington.
The cutbacks increase the challenges for Americans struggling to buy food amid a sharply widening income gap between the rich and the poor.

Pres. Obama is an anti-Christ that is a ruler against the rise of the black king, Christ comes from Cristos which is a Greek word stemming from the Aryan word which means Black King. Obama isn't a true African male he is a mulatto, he came after Bush who conducted the inside 9/11 job, Obama is Bush's cousin, most U.S Presidents have been related and Obama is no exception just that's he is classified as Black. But Black is a false term based upon the one drop rule, there is only African no Black, Negro or Colored.

1960 A.D brought the independence of a host of African nations and the height of the Civil Rights struggle in America.

2000 A.D 10 African countries became the world's fastest growing economies.

2001 A.D 9/11 brought worldwide economic recession. Coincidence? Not Harley.

2008 A.D Barrack Obama becomes the first so-called Black President of the United States. Coincidence? Not Harley.

2012 A.D Barrack Obama wins a second term, the US is falls into deeper debt, Drone Technology and Spy Technology creates a bizarre police state in America and much of the world.

Foodstamps are cut, Education is cut, Unemployment is the highest, Obamacare a supposed Universal Free Healthcare will now be draining the checks of the working poor even more.

I see a pattern here people, I see African-Americans in deep trouble, I see the rise of Africa the richest continent put on hold because we are in a position to invest but that door is being quickly closed. Our wealth in America could turn Africa around almost over night. Pres. Obama made us look the other way back towards the U.S a country that never gave a **** about African Americans, made us look away from our global potential.

It will only be 10%. So for instance a family of 4 gets $360 dollars in stamps the cut will only be $36 dollars!
