    there was a wooded area
in the middle of the woods

    ISN'T THAT WHERE WOODED AREAS
    ARE SUPPOSED TO BE?

in the midst of tall trees
    were limbs and leaves
    that covered the caves
    that hid the peas
    digging deep within
    the valley of shadows
    where rode the boat
    where the man did hide
in the middle of the leaves

    DID YOU SEE?

    the fountain of life
    where flowed the gold
    of silken sap
    who did behold
    he boldly goes
    or gone
    or went
    in search of rivers
    pent up
    but not spent

    HE HAD AN ITCH

    and so proceeded
    to rub
    to scratch
    the irritating itch
    that screamed
    like this
    as silent noise
    floated
    on the winds
    to find him deep
    in the cave
    within

    there was a wooded area
in the middle of the woods

    ISN'T THAT WHERE WOODED AREAS
    ARE SUPPOSED TO BE?

    hmmmmmmm, Baller...

It is where you would expect
    a wooded area to be....

    but.....

Is it where a man would be
    quietly in the boat
    contemplating he
    hidden safely behind the leaves
    no one can find him
    no one could see?

Is it the man who searchs himself
    reminiscing his life
    where he been....
what he lost, what he regrets
    where he could have gone
    what is deep within
    never realizing dreams
    that could have been

he reaches out beyond the trees
    irritated by lost time
    will he find his answer
    maybe someone will reply
    maybe give him relief
    to gain understanding
    to calm the grief
    in this lonely place
    he is in

    Is it the wooded area
in the middle of the woods?

Is that where a man's heart lives
unwilling to step out and inhale the breeze?

    lush responses...deep thoughts.

however, life is a simple thing...with basic needs.
if we think of legs instead of trees
with limbs sprouting so many leaves
    covering the caves
at the juncture of the trees
    men have peas
    or nuts
    or balls
    i didn't mention the stick...at all
that digs within for silken sap
    that flowed like gold
if i might be so bold
    i'd like to say
    'tis fun i had
    on that grand day.:)

    and the river flowed

    THANKS FOR READING.

    hmmm

this reminded me of the time my sista and I got lost in the woods behind Grandmomma's house. We went for a walk and came upon a small brook that flowed into a pond. In the pond there were 2 baby ducks. We named them after each other. We skipped rocks, floated leaves and fell asleep under the sun. All the while everyone at the house were looking for us. We had the best time being lost in nature and enjoying one another. Thank you for calling that memory back.
