The rainy season came in too late, So the
    people began praying for rain.
After days of praying, the rains came and didn't stop until a week later. The rivers got full and the whole area was flooded.
The three Northern Regions of Ghana where hit and the Upper East, where i come from being the worst area.

Over 4500 homes where washed away.
Hundreds of farms washed away including my dads. And the worst thing is that, roads leading to these areas have been washed away too. This means there will be an outbreak of Cholera, Malaria and there will be famine too.
Navy boats and helicopters have been sent to rescue survivers and victims.
The Government of Ghana has asked the UN for help

The floods hit the City of Accra as i type this reply. In fact am watching it on the news now and it has just rained for two hours.
The Government of Ghana has set up an Account through which one can deposit some little money to aid the flood victims. But i do not know if this "account" is accessible to international philanthropist.
I think what you can do for now, is contact the nearest Ghanaian embassy ot find out you can help or send down some money then give it to the Government.

40,000 people have lost their homes. What am really afraid of here is the outbreak of Malaria which is inevitable

    *Sighhhhhhh*

I looked up the Government of Ghana website, and it says the email address is
unknown. It Does have a contact number, but my phone service is not set up for international calls. Brother if at all possible, can you get an email address for me. I could right but I'm afraid that will take much longer than needed.
