On Wednesday, the Flint Water Advisory Task Force appointed by Michigan Governor Rick Snyder issued a critique of the state government at multiple levels, calling out the “failure, intransigence, unpreparedness, delay, inaction and environmental injustice” that led to the water crisis in Flint, Michigan.

“It was a mixture of ignorance, incompetence, and arrogance by many decision-makers that created a toxic and tragic situation that produced the Flint water crisis,” said Chris Kolb, task force co-chair and former Democratic State Representative.

The task force pointed in particular to the emergency managers appointed by the Republican governor as having massively mishandled the crisis.

Read the history of the Flint water crisi here. It's heart wrenching and apparently, Flint, Michigan is not the only place where this is or has been an issue and it may be coming to your city or happening there already. In Michigan I strongly believe the Governor is responsible and all city officials in Flint too. All of them should be fired and prosecuted for negligence, acting irresponsibly and creating a major health crisis due to greed.

Before General Motors deserted Flint and moved on to more profitable pastures, they told city officials in Flint that they had a water problem due to waste that leaked from the plant into the river. But nothing was done about it and GM wasn't forced to clean it up and look who suffers--our children, the elderly and the working class that live there.

But, thankfully, at least citizens in Michigan are ready to take action with their eyes wide open by standing up to fight against blatant racism and classicism by people who our tax money pay their salaries. Like Americans across the country are doing during this volatile election year, Michiganders are witnessing how they've been duped and bamboozled by the public officials and using their collective power to do something about it. There is a serious movement to recall the Governor of Michigan.
