I went through Valley's of despair
I clilmbed up Mountains of indecision
I swam through rivers of contention
And down roads of dissension.
I sat in a tree that saw forever.
I drank from a brook that tasted of
my souls surrnder.
I lay on leaves of precious tender
And carried a bag of burdens and
left each one of them at my roadside
of rest.
My heartbreak I left at the hill of regrets.
My lost dreams I left at the river of forgetfulness
My wasted time I hung on the tree of forever
As I grew tired and lay on the leaves of precious
tender, I heard footsteps that I had never noticed
on this journey...
I swallowed gulps of air filled with indignation.
Looked up and saw my past slowly fading into
nothingness...
I clutched my heart and felt a new beat, wiped
a tear and got back on my feet.
And at the end of my journey I found my piece/peace!
Waiting on a platter of gold, surrounded by all of the
promises that tommorrow holds.
