Justice Department said ready to clear Ferguson officer: N.Y. Times


The newspaper quoted law enforcement officials as saying that federal prosecutors had begun work on a legal memo recommending no civil rights charges against the officer, Darren Wilson, after an FBI investigation found no evidence to support charges against him.

The Justice Department declined comment.

The agency is still conducting a probe into the Ferguson police force. A St. Louis County grand jury decided last year not to prosecute Wilson.

So, we also risk losing the benefits of what the Civil Rights and Black Power eras won us, because so few who truly benefited aka the black middle class, were or are prepared to defend even themselves, by actually running for political office, etc.?

Hence, all of this rhetoric about black media celebs and/or sports stars is beside the point, etc.

Police release video of more than 180 Ferguson looting suspects


The department also released more than 180 still images of the suspected looters storming the market.

"If you can identify any of these suspects, please contact the St. Louis County Police at 314-889-2341 or CrimeStoppers at 866-371-8477," a message on the SLPD website reads. "All tips are anonymous."

St. Louis officers shoot, kill armed teen: police


Officers were tailing the car, which was reported stolen in December, when it struck a wall and the engine stopped, St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson told reporters.

Missouri Sheriff Thinks Al Sharpton Should ‘Go Back Into the Gutter He Came From’ (Video)


Missouri Sheriff David Clarke had strong words for MSNBC’s Al Sharpton Thursday morning on “Fox & Friends.”

“I don’t expect anything intelligent to come out of the mouth of Al Sharpton,” Clarke said in response to news that the Department of Justice won’t press civil rights charges against former Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown. Steve Doocy had just played a clip of Sharpton’s Dec. 3 comments following the Eric Garner grand jury decision.
