Hey fam, just goofing off. Indulge me for a sec...

I kept saying I wanted to write about
    put a new spin on
    create a new vision of
    Black History
    and the more I thought
    the more confused I got
because I have not been taught correctly
haven’t really been taught at all
    I want to re-teach myself
but every day passes without my absorbing
    the smallest piece of information
    pertaining to my heritage
    my roots
and the meadow isn’t fertile enough
    to spawn creations of eye-opening
    riveting
    educating words
that my people would want to hear
    or even learn from
cause I’m sure most know more than me

so then I said, its Valentine’s Day soon
I want to write about love
put a new kink in kinky
    and make somebody hot
    with some fire words of
    raw, pure sexual healing
    but then I’m like
    for what?????
when its been done and done well
and ain’t too much more I can tell
about gyrating hips and luscious lips
    and candy coated goodies with
    creamy chocolate centers

so I’m like, is there anything else to write?
Cause frankly I’m feeling a little
    creatively retarded at the moment
Maybe its too much going on this month
    too much to think about

Love, my people, love, my people, love

    MY PEOPLE

    LOVE

    ****

    I can’t wait til March!

:eeek: Danilyn, it would be wise to stay out of the Extreme Family for they tend to bring out the extreme in everyone...i'm still suffering withdrawals from one of their poems...

    GQ~
Glad u enjoyed the read. Just thought I'd try something different

    Dnommo~
Don't worry friend. I don't think I can be as Xtreme as they are.

    Reason~
U nasty! But, I'll see what I can do...

    Rashad~
It was just for fun. I wanted to write a Black History Poem, but couldn't think of a fresh approach for it so I didn't write one. Then I came on the site today and saw all the Valentine Poems and that wasn't working either, so I wrote a poem about not being able to write about those two topics. Just goofing off!

    Bishop~
Just where is dat lighthouse? Give me a sec to get as nasty as I can be...
